D I Khan police station attacked, personnel taken hostage

D I KHAN: Armed men attacked the city police station located in Tehsil Kolachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, taking police personnel hostage, Geo News reported. Soon after the incident, security forces launched the operation against the attackers and exchange of heavy firing between police and armed men are underway, eyewitnesses said. According to the Geo News report, a man and a veil woman were witnessed to enter the police station before the assault. Forces put the security cordon and began operation against the attackers in which hand grenades and rocket launchers are also being used.
