SC indicts DG FIA of contempt of court

Updated at: 1248 PST,  Friday, June 03, 2011  ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has indicted DG FIA Malik Iqbal of contempt of court on Friday. During the hearing, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry read out the charge sheet against him, Geo News reported. Earlier today, the court directed the Attorney General (AG) to submit the charge sheet against the DG FIA within thirty minutes. A three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, was hearing the contempt of court case. The CJP remarked that the court had not taken any strict action against him but now no room will be given to the culprits. Law demands strict action from the court, the CJP added.
