Six more killed in hours as violence continues in Karachi

 Six more killed in hours as violence continues in Karachi KARACHI: Six more people have been killed and dozens injured since midnight (Saturday 12:00am) as violence continues in different parts of Karachi, Geo News reported.

According to reports, these people were killed in firing and torture incident in different parts of the city.

Earlier, according to police, two people were killed and five others injured in an armed clash between two groups in Chakra goath Korangi. After the incident miscreants set ablaze several vehicles and roadside stalls in the area.

Ten people were taken into custody during search operation in Chakra goath.

In the meantime, miscreants attacked and injured DSP Quaidabad Badar Shah.

Unidentified armed men opened fire at elite force police commandos bus in Korangi 2 ½ as a result four police commandos were killed and 30 others injured.

The bodies and injured were rushed to Jinnah Hospital where emergency has been declared. The condition of some injured is said to be critical.

Meanwhile, Additional DIG Saud Mirza, DIG East Akram Baroka, SP South Naeem Shaikh and SSP East Ahsan Umer visited Jinnah hospital and inquired about the health of injured.

Secretary Health Sindh Rizwan Ahmed has declared emergency in all the government hospitals of the city.

Sporadic firing is continuing in different parts of the city. Panic has gripped the metropolis.
