Govt approves 13.5pc raise in gas tariff

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has approved 13.5 percent increase in gas tariff, Geo News reported. Talking to 'Geo', Acting Chairman OGRA Manzoor Zaffar informed that the government has approved the summery to raise 13.5 percent in gas tariff. The summery has not reached to OGRA, he said and added that as soon as the summery is received, notification to hike gas tariff would be issued with immediate effect. He said the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet does not raise gas tariff. Ministry of Petroleum sends summery to PM through Ministry of Finance.
