PAC issues decision on NLC scandal

PAC issues decision on NLC scandal ISLAMABAD: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) here on Friday in its decision on the National Logistics Cell (NLC) case recommended to forward the reference relating to three ex-military officers to Defence Secretary, Geo News reported.

In a statement issued by the PAC, directive was also issued to send the case to National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The statement contained details of the PAC’s meeting held on June 25 in which it has been directed that action be taken under the rules against Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Khalid Muneer Khan, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Muhammad Afzal Muzaffar and Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Khalid Zaheer Akhtar.

The PAC has accepted the recommendations and findings of Hamid Hassan report on NLC scandal.

The report puts the losses incurred until April 10, 2009 to Rs828 million.

According to NLC officials, instructions have also been issued to forward a reference concerning FO Saeed-ur-Rehman to Cabinet Devision.
