MNA Anjum Akeel taken away from police custody

ISLAMABAD: Supporters of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Anjum Akeel took him away from Shalimar police station, Geo News reported on Friday. According to details as Shalimar police arrested Anjum Aqeel Khan in connection with the National Police Foundation (NPF) case, hundreds of protesters assaulted the police party and managed to flee along with the MNA. Anjum Akeel was arrested on Friday evening, and as the police took him to jail, they were attacked by Khan’s supporters. Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rehman Malik took notice of the attack and ordered arrest of SP and SHO of the said police for negligence.
