Millitary officials brief Abottabad Commission

 Millitary officials brief Abottabad Commission ISLAMABAD: An Air Force official informed the Abbottabad Commission that they had put the country's air bases on high alert after receiving information about the US raid on the compound of Osama bin Laden, Geo News reported.

DG Military Operations also appeared before the commission and answered questions. The commission tasked with probing the US attack on the compound of Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabad met at the cabinet division block under the chairmanship of Supreme Court Judge, Justice Javed Iqbal.


The commission was briefed by DG Military Operations Major General Ashfaq Nadeem and Air Marshall Mohammed Hassan. Afterwards the two officials answered question of the commission. The commission also discussed the deployment of the air force and army on the borders and the violation of Pakistani airspace by the US during the time of the operation.

The next meeting of the commission will take place on July 18 and according to sources DG Military Operations is expected to give a detailed briefing regarding the Abbottabad operation and high level civil government officials will be summoned.
