Kharotabad incident: Tribunal records witnesses QUETTA: The enquiry tribunal formed to ascertain the facts and causes of the Kharotabad incident has started recording statements of the witnesses from today (Tuesday), Geo News reported.

The tribunal was formed on May 25 where eighteen witnesses enlisted their names as witnesses. The witnesses would appear before the tribunal, headed by Justice Muhammad Hashim Kakar, Judge of Balochistan High Court (BHC), to record their statements.

Before recording the statements, the tribunal on Monday visited the Kharotabad area. Balochistan police chief Rao Amin Hashim and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.

They stayed there for over an hour and enquired about the incident of May 17, from different people, including police, the FC and residents of the area.

Five Chechen nationals were killed on May 17, at the FC’s checkpost in Kharotabad area. The police and the FC opened indiscriminate fire, targeting the five people after labeling them suicide bombers
