Kharotabad incident: Tribunal removes 2 DSPs |
Updated at: 0539 PST, Sunday, May 29, 2011 QUETTA: Two Balochistan DSPs have been removed on the directives of a court’s Tribunal investigating the incident of killing of five unarmed Chechan nationals in Kharotabad area of Quetta on May 17, Geo News reported Saturday. According to a correspondent of Geo News, the tribunal removed the DSPs of the Airport and Quaidabad police stations and Bashir Ahmed (Airport) and Dr. Sami (Quaidabad) were appointed in their place. Earlier, CCPO Quetta Dawood Junejo was also relegated as OSD (Official on Special Duty). On the other hand no action was taken against the personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) who opened indiscriminate fire on the Chechan nationals and all the officials including Col. Faisal continue to serve on their posts unaffected. |
