Aitzaz to represent PM Gilani in contempt case

ISLAMABAD: Prominent lawyer and ruling party leader Barrister Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan has been appointed counsel for Prime Minister Gilani in Contempt of Court case, Geo News reported.

Prime Minister Gilani will appear before a seven-member bench of the Supreme Court on January 19 to face a contempt notice on the issue of re-opening of cases under the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

Gilani announced his decision to appear before the court in his address to the National Assembly on Monday. Party heads of the allied parties will accompany him to the Court.
