Rahul Gandhi was nominated as general secretary in 2007. His appointment was considered as appointment of prospective successor to Sonia Gandhi, chief of Congress Party. Rahul is working for the betterment and uplift of Indian youths since the last four years. He also places focus on bringing improvement in the pitiable plight of tenants and farming community of his country. This message was considered secret 4 years earlier and now it has been made public. It carries signature of US ambassador David Malford. US ambassador had written in his letter most of Indian intellectuals and politicians dub Rahul as an empty box who lacks political prudence. Malford had further mentioned that it depended on Rahul now how he would allay these concerns. US embassy also wrote in its letter that Rahul Gandhi would have to demonstrate commitment, determination, fortitude, sagacity besides adopting callous and unrefined attitude of Indian politics.
