LAHORE: Nine people including five women lost their lives from the Dengue virus on Monday, Geo News reported. The death toll from the virus has now reached 152 across Punjab.
Patients with high fever continue to flock to different hospitals of the city. Residents complain that the increased loadshedding is only contributing to an increase in the number of Dengue patients. This is a concern also shared by the management of hospitals who say that loadshedding is causing difficulty in the treatment of patients.
Meanwhile Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has decided that Doctors and medical staff will travel to Sri Lanka, Thailand and Singapore to receive Dengue training. |
