Tarbela, Mangla reserves rise after rains

 Tarbela, Mangla reserves rise after rains LAHORE: Tarbela and Mangla Dams water reserves continues gradually picking up, as the water level in Tarbela Dam surged to 1387.45 feet showing a rise of 9.45 feet from the dead level.

Flood Forecasting Division said that Tarbela Dam reserve with inlet of 50,100 and outlet with 5,000 cusec less stood at 20,000 cusec.

On the other hand, the water level in Mangla Dam went up to 1106 feet with a rise of 66 feet from the dead level. Mangla Dam water inflow recorded at 93,465 and outflow at 42,000 cusec.

The usable water reserve in Tarbela Dam has surged to 1, 18,000 acre-feet and in Mangla Dam at 7,61,000 acre-feet. The total usable water reserves in Tarbela and Mangla Dams recorded at 8,00,179 acre-feet.
