Two scouts dead, 8 others injured in Karachi firing
KARACHI: Heavy firing at Numaish Chowrangi left two
scouts dead and eight people injured including a cameraman
of a private TV channel who received gunshot wounds,
Geo news reported Sunday.
Rangers fired tear gas shells and fired gun shots in
the air to scare off the enraged mobs.
Earlier, firing by unknown gunmen led to a riot on
M A Jinnah road near Numaish Chowrangi that left two
scouts dead and eight others injured.
Angry mobs also torched several motorbikes and cars
that were parked on the road.
Sources claimed that Rangers have detained an accused
involved in the killing of two people. Interrogation
from them was underway at the time of filing this report.
